Since childhood, one of my inspirations has been Pippi Longstocking. In Swedish, Pippi Långstrump, in German, Pippi Langstrumpf. I loved her moxy, her superhuman strength, her stand against injustice and her fierce independence. Also, she lived by herself, could lift a horse, and her red brains and freckles would turn heads! I always thought of myself as a mix of Pippi and her shy, quiet friend, Annika. This childlike part of me is reflected in my design work, I think. I hope I never lose it.
